Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk were once ready to fight in a cage match in 2023 before Zuckerberg called and said that Musk “is not serious”. Now two billionaries have switched from the continuation of the battle to use the second second technology.
On Thursday, Meta said it copied the technology implied by Musk’s X and creates its new notes for a community to moderate content.
Community notes will allow users on Facebook, Instagram and threads to provide feedback on posts in the form of explanations with citing their resources. Notes must be less than 500 characters and include a support link. Community notes are not a new concept – X began to use the system after Musk Bough in the spring of 2022.
Specifically, the meta will be involved in a widely proven and replicable open source code algorithm as the establishment of its own communities notes, which intends to start testing in the US on March 18.

“Since the algorithm and program information is an open source – which means free and available to anyone to use – we can build on what X has done, learn from scientists who studied it and improve the system for our platforms,” Meta wrote in a blog post. “As our version evolves, we can explore different or modified algorithms to support how community notes are evaluated and evaluated.”

For the first time in January, Meta announced that it would end its eight -year -old independent program checking and switch to the Coumity Notes system.
