AI’s front director says that AI could soon take over a key part of software engineering tasks: coding.

Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei said at the beginning of this week that AI will write 90% of the software engineer code over the next three to six months and each line of code next year.

“On the side of the job I have a fair love for concern,” Amodei said on Monday at the Council for Foreign Relations PER Business Insider. “In 12 months we can be in a world where AI writes basically the whole code.”
